Love the raider tree stand . Light weight to carry, seat very comfortable for those long day sits. Just the right size, and nice and quiet. Highly recommend , I have two that I take with me on all my out of state hunts.
So far I've been happy with it.
Pros:
The offset bracket is great for being able to level the platform left to right in a tree that isn't straight.
The seat is comfortable and quiet to operate
Stand is light enough to be mobile while the platform is larger than the HELO I still prefer a larger platform for all day sits.
The stand really locks down I had zero noise from it while I have hunted from it. I tried twisting my boots on the platform and it was quiet
Great traction as well.
The foot rest was solid and quiet . I do wish that it was as wide as the platform.
Cons:
The hollow frame will ping off the brush while carrying it in
For the price it would be nice if it came with hanging hook
Adjusting the platform to level w/o loosening up the screws was impossible,
When I loosened up the screws enough so it would move then the cables make some noise but not once it was locked down
When you do use the offset bracket to level the tree, the seat post twist a bit when you move sitting. It was a bit unnerving until I figured out that the stand wasn't moving.
Very comfortable and quiet for the 11 1/2 hour sits in BC Canada that I hunted this year And it was very lightweight for a stand of that size it will be the only stand I buy from now on.
Haven’t hunted out of the stand yet but very satisfied with the quality of this stand. Rock solid American quality.just what I was looking for.
If you hunt from a tree, pick Novix. Strong, stable, and light!
